I have read several of the collected works and been to three or four exhibitions of her work here in Chicago. With a foreword by world-renowned (also street) photographer Joel Meyerowitz and text by curator Colin Westerbeck. When the first news came of her discovered work, it was a kind of sensation, and books and documentaries have been made about her now. Maier famously left piles of her work in closets, and kept some in storage lockers, not shared with many people (if at all) in her lifetime.
